Waiters/ Waitresses

Due to popular demands, we are looking to recruit young and ambitious staff to join our already excellent team in the following positions –Waiters / Waitresses (East European & Arabic speaking) F&B Experience in a similar role in hospitality or a service related industry.

Host/ Hostess

Welcome and warmly greet guests on arrival. Answer telephone, take reservations and manage the efficient and timely seating of our guests to a table that best serves their wishes and menu presentation. Coordinates with the manager and service staff essential details of customers in the restaurant.

Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities

As a host you will be responsible to:

  1. To answer all telephone calls and enquiries
    • Answer telephone in appropriate manners
    • You must have a good knowledge of special offers, menu, events
  2. To take table reservations and effectively control the flow of guest in the restaurant ensuring maximum turnover.
    • Some important details when taking reservation; name, contact number; prepaid table, time, special occasion if any
    • Must learn to control crowd on waiting list
  3. To know the product. Knowledge of food and drink menu makes it easier to sell our products and service our guests.
  4. Assist the management in maintaining standards by reporting any problems in your surroundings (i.e. are the floors, tables and service stations clean? Are all the guests happy?).
    • Keep the managers inform of whatever is happening in the restaurant in terms of seating, reservations, availability of table, any comments from guest good or bad.
    • Ensure every guest leaves happy by asking them how their lunch or dinner was. Negative comments must be relay to Management immediately.
  5. Notify managers of specific guests’ needs and requests.
  6. Perform all opening/running /closing duties.
    • Everyone will be assigned with opening and closing duties ensure to perform them as you are told.
    • Ensure every menu given to guest is clean free from any dirt, torned menu be replace with new ones
  7. To ensure that the host desk and the surrounding areas are always kept clean and well organized.
  8. To ensure that sufficient number of menus are available at all time and are in proper condition
  9. To receive guest feedback and to monitor guest satisfaction.
    • You will be the last person the guest will have contact with at the end of dinner, ask questions to receive guest feedback this perceives we truly care for their dining experience.
  10. To maintain and update the restaurant guest history file through reservation software
    • This is good tool to tracking down our regulars as to how often they come to visit our restaurant or when was the last time they visited us.
    • Inform manager if any of regulars not showed up for a long time.
  11. Act as a role model to new staff members by displaying a high level of professionalism and integrity.
    • Every staff member of Wafi must act as a role model in whatever roles they may have; it is not only the jobs of the ones in the higher position.
    • It takes everyone to work together to achieve our goals.
  12. Always inform the manager when leaving the floor for any reason.
    • Always keep your manager inform when leaving the floor.
  13. To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned by the department head.
  14. Inventory of menus and other stationary items related to the host department.
    • Menus must be counted everyday to ensure sufficient amount of menu in the restaurant during operation.
  15. You have to be well groomed all the time.
  16. Your Manager may assign additional job responsibilities not specified in this job description.
  17. Must have a good knowledge about Asha’s promos, discounts, special offers, ATM machines and other Asha’s events.
  18. Must be aware of emergency procedures and emergency numbers
