What is Holi and why should I celebrate it?
Holi is a Hindu spring festival celebrated in India. Also known as the ‘festival of colours’ and the ‘festival of love’, the Holi festival marks the arrival of spring. The widely known festival takes place over two days and is a celebration of fertility, colour, love and the triumph of good over evil.
What is Rang Barse?
Rang Barse, also called Rang Barse Bhige Chunar Wali is a popular 1981 Hindi song from the famous Bollywood movie Silsila. The song, sung by Bollywood singer and actor Amitabh Bachchan in the film, is considered to be one of India’s best known songs of all time. The song was picturised in Silsila showing a community Holi celebration. Because of this, Rang Barse is often linked to Holi festivities. Even after three decades of its release, the song remains one of the most popular songs played on Holi.

What to expect on the night
A night of great music and dancing, Asha’s Bollywood Retro Night will be a blast from the past that celebrates the present light, colour and love in all our lives. Located in Asha’s Wafi, our interior and outdoor terrace makes for the perfect celebration destination. Playing Bollywood hits from the 70s, 80s and 90s, our resident DJ will ease you into the Bollywood mood while our chefs serve up complimentary Indian canapes.
Two complimentary house beverages will be supplied throughout the night. Our bar will also be open during the evening, with our talented mixologists crafting up the best cocktails in Dubai.
With the dance floor open the whole night, remember to bring your dance moves along!
